Original members of the Football Alliance Championship, Bradford City merged with Fourth Division neighbours Park Avenue at the end of that first season and continued under the City name, winning the league title for the only time in their history in 1997-98. They were relegated from the top flight in 2003 and have yet to return.
This summer, the club has relocated to the renovated Park Avenue stadium and taken the name of the original tenants in recognition of this, whilst retaining Bradford City's traditional claret and amber striped shirts and black shorts.
